Believe it or not, your automatic gate is affected by cold weather. Metal contracts in low temperatures, which can cause your automatic gate to stick. There is also the problem with the battery which is encased in a metal box. In winter, the internal temperature of the battery drops making it hard for it to start because of a reduction in the electro-chemical reaction that produces the electrical current that powers the gate. A clicking sound indicates that the battery solenoid switch has low power.

These problems with an automatic gate can be prevented by using a grease made specifically to keep metal from contracting when it is cold. Even a custom gate needs this.

Having a security gate in place is an excellent way to prevent unwanted individuals and vehicles from entering your property. However, there may be times where an unexpected driver needs to gain access. With the help of an intercom system, it is possible to screen those at the gate without manually walking down to let them in.

With the intercom system piped through your property's home security network, someone at the gate can call for access. Should you grant the visitor access it is possible to use the automatic gates and allow passage into the property, all without leaving your home.

Your commercial gate ensures your that your property is well protected. Fitting the gate with an automated gate system further enhances security, ensuring that only you can access the property. However, power outages can be very frustrating. To avoid scenarios of AC power outage and gate malfunction, back up your gate system with a UPS battery backup. The battery works by automatically sensing and switching itself on after AC power outage, ensuring that your gate continues to function even during a power outage. This is reason enough for you to relax and be at peace.
